According to a reporter from Lao Dong newspaper, the plane landed at Long Thanh airport, Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province at 4:00 p.m. on December 15.
The plane used Boeing 787 of Vietnam Airlines, with the number VN5001, taking off from Tan Son Nhat airport.
After landing safely on runway No. 1, the plane moved through the taxiway to the passenger terminal.

According to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), technical flights only have flight crews and technical staff, no passengers, no cargo.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Viet - Deputy General Director in charge of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) said that up to now, the airport's connecting transport infrastructure has been completed, the work of planting trees and completing the landscape has been basically completed.
All preparations along with equipment are ready, ensuring the flight takes place on December 19, Mr. Viet said.
On December 19, Long Thanh airport will welcome the first official flight. It is expected that 3 aircraft of the 3 airlines departing from Noi Bai airport will land at Long Thanh airport one by one, then return to Noi Bai.
