On January 7, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Quoc Khanh, Head of the Steering Committee for implementing compensation and site clearance (GPMB) for key projects in the province, chaired a conference to assess the progress of GPMB for 10 key projects in December 2025 and deploy tasks for the coming time.
According to the report, in December 2025, site clearance work was focused on drastic direction. The Steering Committee issued many documents requesting to accelerate the progress of handling and definitively resolving backlog and prolonged projects; and at the same time directed to promote site clearance for two expressway projects.
The Standing Agency of the Steering Committee coordinates with departments and branches to focus on solving difficulties related to key projects, including: Huu Nghi - Chi Lang border gate expressway; Ly Thai To extended road project and residential and resettlement area of Lang Son City; provincial sports complex (multi-purpose stadium and gymnasium); VSIP Lang Son industrial park infrastructure construction and business investment project.

As a result, in December 2025, functional agencies counted 117 affected cases with an area of about 30 hectares, related to 99 graves; relocated 5 households out of the project area; handed over nearly 6 hectares of land to the investor; paid compensation and support of nearly 30 billion VND.
At the conference, representatives of communes and wards reported on the results of site clearance in the area, and at the same time proposed to improve the quality of dossiers, accelerate the progress of preparing compensation plans; soon complete the measurement of resettlement areas; accelerate the construction of resettlement areas and have specific guidance on the source of funding to reward progress for households to hand over land soon...
Concluding the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged the efforts of agencies and localities in implementing site clearance, praising some units that performed well such as Huu Lung, Na Sam, Dong Dang and Hoang Van Thu commune.
At the same time, he requested the drafting unit to report on the results of site clearance to review and update the data to be complete and accurate.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary requested to review the entire public land fund to advise on a plan to use it for site clearance; review land acquisition dossiers, and consider implementing coercion according to regulations.
Each project must develop a specific progress plan, clearly assign responsibilities; pay attention to investing in building a centralized cemetery to serve site clearance.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested members of the Steering Committee to continue to closely monitor each project, support localities to accelerate progress; agencies and units to strengthen coordination and promptly report arising difficulties.
