Lang Son reduces more than 100 positions after merging Newspaper - Lai

Lang Son - Nearly 120 positions were streamlined after the merger of Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station.

On May 25, according to Lao Dong, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has just issued two decisions to adjust the total number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget and career revenue in public service units in 2025.

This adjustment is related to the process of merging the Provincial Radio and Television Station into Lang Son Newspaper, forming Lang Son Newspaper and Television Station under the Provincial Party Committee.

According to the Decision to adjust the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget, the total number of employees in public service units that are not self-sufficient in regular expenditures will decrease from the initial allocation to 20,429 people, a decrease of 80 people compared to Decision No. 140/QD-UBND dated January 13, 2025.

Similarly, the Decision to adjust the number of employees receiving salaries from career revenue in units that self-insure a part of regular expenses also decreased 36 people, bringing the total to 1,196 people, adjusted from Decision No. 141/QD-UBND on the same day.

The reason for the adjustment is determined to be that from April 1, 2025, Lang Son Provincial Radio and Television Station will officially merge with Lang Son Newspaper, becoming a public service unit under the Provincial Party Committee, no longer under the management of the Provincial People's Committee in allocating career payroll.

Previously, on April 1, the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee on merging Lang Son Provincial Radio and Television Station into Lang Son Newspaper and Thanh Son Television Station; announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on personnel work.

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Dong Bac - Director of Lang Son Provincial Radio and Television Station was transferred and appointed to the position of Editor-in-Chief of Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station.
