On July 5, information from the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity (PCTNLPTC) of Lang Son province said that the 13th meeting had just taken place, chaired by Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Van Nghiem, Head of the Steering Committee.
At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee reported the results of PCTNLPTC work in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.
Accordingly, in the first 6 months of the year, the whole province has prosecuted 18 new cases, 32 defendants related to corruption and negativity, many cases of which have attracted public attention.
The Steering Committee also discussed considering putting a number of works and projects behind schedule, at risk of loss and waste, under monitoring and direction; at the same time, considering Notifying the supervision conclusion to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Procuracy.
In his speech, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem requested to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the instructions and conclusions on PCTNLPTC; promote propaganda and supervision, especially in sensitive areas.
He also proposed promoting the supervisory role of the Fatherland Front, press agencies and people; at the same time, assigning the standing agency of the Steering Committee to preside over and coordinate in urging the implementation of conclusions on schedule and according to regulations.
