On the afternoon of September 16, Lang Son Provincial Party Committee held a conference to summarize the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity (PCTNLPTC) during the 13th National Party Congress term.
The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.
The report at the conference stated that in the past term, Party committees and authorities at all levels have focused on leading and directing closely, synchronously and achieved many important results in PCTNLPTC.
Notably, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee organized an extensive political and ideological activity, compiled and implemented a study topic, following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style on the fight against corruption.
The whole province has had over 1,500 news and propaganda articles, raising awareness among cadres, party members and people.
Inspection and supervision work has been strengthened, 2,500 party organizations and more than 5,100 party members have been inspected; nearly 1,800 party organizations and 4,000 party members have been supervised; 34 party organizations and 944 party members have been disciplined; 2 cases have been transferred to the investigation agency.
Delegates highly agreed with the report, and at the same time proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of detecting and handling corruption, recovering lost assets and controlling finance and public assets.
In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai praised Lang Son's results and at the same time suggested that the locality strengthen propaganda, education on integrity, identify key areas, strictly handle violations, fight against local, racial and group interests.
He also emphasized the need to speed up the investigation, handling of the case, promptly reward, and replicate typical examples.
Closing the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Lang Son province Doan Thi Hau requested Party committees and Party organizations to absorb instructions, develop specific plans, strengthen leadership, innovate propaganda methods, build a culture of thrift, control power and focus on inspection and examination of areas prone to negative issues.
The Provincial Steering Committee for PCTNLPTC will continue to advise, issue resolutions, directives, and completely resolve serious cases and incidents.
On this occasion, 6 collectives and 7 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in PCTNLPTC work in the period of 2021 - 2025.
