The Hai Phong City leadership delegation led by Mr. Le Tien Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation - visited and encouraged people at temporary shelters in Ngo Quyen Ward.
Ngo Quyen ward currently has 66 temporary checkpoints, receiving about 2,000 people, mainly households living in 16 level D apartments - old projects, with potential safety risks during storms. As of 7:00 p.m. on July 21, the ward has moved 1,016/1,120 households in 14 level D apartments (reaching a rate of 90.8%) with 1,801/1,909 people. 104 households have not moved due to being away, not present at their place of residence or have proactively taken shelter at relatives' houses.

At temporary shelters such as Quang Trung Primary School and 8/3 Kindergarten, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau visited, encouraged and listened to the sharing of people - mostly disadvantaged households, with difficult circumstances, temporarily sheltering to ensure safety in the context of complicated storms and floods. The Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that mobilizing people to temporary shelters is an urgent decision to protect people's lives and health from natural disasters. Government at all levels will ensure absolute safety of people's property at their place of residence. The locality will arrange medical staff to be on duty 24/7, especially for the elderly, people with underlying diseases, and children. At the same time, ensure food safety and environmental sanitation at concentrated living locations.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau presented gifts of encouragement to households on the island, expressing his hope that people would feel secure in their stay, unite, and coordinate with the government to overcome difficult times. People expressed their emotions, trust and high consensus on the close and close attention of the city's leaders, highly appreciating the careful preparation of the locality for facilities, necessities and living conditions in the temporary shelter.
