On the afternoon of March 30, Lao Cai Department of Construction held a contract signing ceremony to implement the Ngoi Duong Water Plant Project in Ta Phoi commune.
Accordingly, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has approved the investor selection results, and HQ Investment Consulting and Environmental Technology Joint Stock Company is the winning bidder.
The factory has a capacity of 20,000 m3/day and night, with a total investment of about 190.6 billion VND; of which investor capital accounts for 35%, and the rest is mobilized capital.
The wholesale price of clean water in the first year of operation is expected to be 5,985 VND/m3 (including VAT), adjusted every 5 years with an increase of 3.5%.
The project is implemented on an area of about 19,100 m2 in Ta Phoi commune. Operating term is 50 years; progress includes 6 months of investment preparation, site clearance and 18 months of construction and operation.
The project is invested to provide safe and sustainable clean water sources for communes and wards of the old Lao Cai City, contributing to improving the quality of life of people, limiting groundwater exploitation and protecting the environment.
The signing of the contract is an important step for the project to be implemented soon, contributing to realizing the goal of sustainable development of the urban water supply system in Lao Cai.
