Tan Hung Ward People's Committee, Hai Phong City has just publicly announced information and collected people's opinions on the Bui Thi Xuan bridge and access road construction investment project. This is an important step to ensure democracy and transparency in the process of preparing dossiers, before submitting them to the City People's Committee for consideration and approval of investment policies.
According to the presented plan, the project has a total estimated investment of 2,744.55 billion VND, using city budget capital, belonging to project group B, implemented in the period 2026 - 2028. This is a large-scale, strategic traffic project, aimed at removing infrastructure bottlenecks, strengthening connectivity and promoting urban development in the western area of the city.
The total length of the route is about 4.6 km, passing through Tan Hung, Le Thanh Nghi, Hai Duong and Nam Dong wards. In which, Bui Thi Xuan main bridge is about 430 m long, designed to be expanded from 2 to 4 lanes.
The entire route will be synchronously upgraded with the road surface system, drainage, lighting, green trees and auxiliary items. The total planned land area to be recovered is about 13.36 ha.
Before deploying construction, site clearance will be carried out in accordance with the law, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of people in the project area.
When completed, Bui Thi Xuan bridge and the access road system will be directly connected to Ring Road 1, contributing to reducing traffic pressure for existing routes, while creating motivation for socio-economic development on both sides of the Thai Binh River.
The project not only solves traffic congestion but also contributes to the implementation of the general plan of Hai Phong city to 2040, vision to 2050, towards the goal of building a green, civilized, modern city with a balanced East-West development axis.
Representatives of the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board fully informed about the related contents such as objectives, scale, progress, total investment, technical plan and site clearance plan. Delegates and people were also directly consulted on the planning map, asked questions and contributed opinions.
Tan Hung Ward People's Committee and the Project Management Board will fully summarize opinions, continue to complete dossiers, and ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with the plan, effectively and serves the community's interests.
The Bui Thi Xuan bridge project is not only a key traffic project but is also expected to become an infrastructure highlight, contributing to creating a modern urban appearance for the city. The consensus and active participation of the people are identified as an important factor, contributing to ensuring the project is implemented smoothly and promotes long-term efficiency.
