On June 28, Mr. Nguyen Minh Sy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Que Chau commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam said: "On the afternoon of June 27, a strong tornado suddenly swept through a row of residential areas in Phu Da, Phuoc Duc, Khanh Duc villages... in the commune.
In just about 10 minutes, the tornado caused serious damage, causing nearly 30 houses to have their roofs blown off and damaged; many trees also fell and fell."
After the incident, leaders of Que Chau commune and Que Son district directly visited the scene to visit and encourage affected households. At the same time, the government has also provided cash support for people to buy corrugated iron to re-roof their houses and soon stabilize their lives.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Sy added: "In the immediate future, families with heavy damage will be supported with 1 million VND, while those with minor damage will be supported with 500,000 VND".
The authorities of Que Chau commune and Que Son district are continuing to conduct detailed statistics on the level of damage to have more timely and practical support plans, helping people soon overcome difficulties after this unexpected natural disaster.
