Information from the Long An Provincial Electronic Information Portal on June 10 said that Vice Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son has signed and issued a document on stopping centralized shopping according to Decision No. 5190/QD-UBND dated May 28, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee.
Accordingly, considering the proposal of the Department of Science and Technology and the proposal of the Department of Finance on stopping centralized shopping according to Decision No. 5190/QD-UBND dated May 28, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee promulgating a list of centralized shopping assets and assigning agencies to carry out centralized shopping in Long An province. Based on the implementation of Resolution No. 74/NQ-CP dated April 7, 2025 of the Government and Conclusions No. 127-KL/TW dated February 28, 2025, No. 137-KL/TW dated March 29, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the arrangement and reorganization of administrative units at all levels and the development of a model for organizing local government at both levels.
The People's Committee of Long An province agreed to stop implementing centralized procurement according to Decision No. 5190/QD-UBND dated May 28, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee until the implementation of the Project on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model of organizing local government at 2 levels according to the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
During the suspension period, agencies, organizations and units that need to purchase assets in the list specified in Decision No. 5190/QD-UBND shall comply with the provisions of the Law on Bidding, ensuring compliance with current standards, norms and authority. Specifically: Decision No. 50/2017/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2017 of the Prime Minister; Decisions of the Provincial People's Committee regulating standards and norms for specialized machinery and equipment; Resolution No. 25/2024/NQ-HDND dated December 10, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council; documents guiding the implementation of the Bidding Law.
The People's Committee of Long An province assigned the Department of Finance to monitor, guide and inspect the implementation of public asset procurement of agencies and units in accordance with regulations; preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, study and advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Decision to replace Decision No. 5190/QD-UBND after the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets and guiding documents take effect.
