According to updated data at 7:00 a.m. on September 30, the Thao River (Lao Cai) at Yen Bai station was up to 34.28 m, exceeding alert level 3 (BD3) by 2.28 m.
This level approached the time of typhoon YAGI in 2024 on September 10, 2024 at 35.32m, above alert level 3 3.32m, and near the historical flood level in 1968,
Ma River (Thanh Hoa) in Giang reached 6.9 m, 0.4 m higher than BD3; Ca River (Nghe An) in Nam Dan 7.1 m, 0.2 m higher than BD2; Dong Nai River in Ta Lai 112.67 m, 0.17 m above BD2.

In the next 12 hours, floods on Thao and Ma rivers will continue to rise above level 3, Ca and Luc Nam rivers will rise above level 2.
In the next 12 - 24 hours, floods on Thao and Ma rivers will remain high, Ca rivers will be at level 2, Luc Nam river will gradually decrease but will still be dangerous.
In particular, the Dong Nai River is forecast to decrease slowly and fluctuate around level 2.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned that from now until October 1, floods on rivers in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa - Ha Tinh will continue to rise.
Flood peaks on small rivers may exceed BD2 - BD3, locally higher, with the risk of flash floods and landslides.
