Mr. Tran Hung (Linh Son ward) said that the weather is still raining. Prolonged rain and rising river water levels are causing people to worry.
Because floods in previous years caused deep flooding and heavy property damage, this time people are worried and bring vehicles to high locations to ensure safety," Mr. Hung said.
According to the Thai Nguyen Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, at 8:00 PM on August 23, on the Cau River, the water level at Thac Gieng hydrological station was 97.01m, 0.51m higher than alarm level 1 (AL1). At Gia Bay stations 25.75m, 0.75m higher than AL1; Ca station 7.80m, 0.20m lower than AL1.
On the Cong River at the Nui Coc Lake measuring station, the water level at 7 pm on August 23 was 46.43m, 0.23m higher than the normal water level and is operating flood discharge regulation.
According to warnings, from the night of August 23rd to August 24th, floods on the Cau River in Thai Nguyen province will continue to increase.
At Bac Kan hydrological station, the flood water level changes slowly and is below alarm level 1. At Thac Gieng hydrological station, the flood water level fluctuates at a level close to alarm level 2 (AL2) and depends on the operating regime of Thac Gieng 1 Hydropower Plant.


At Gia Bay hydrological station and Ca hydrological station, the flood water level is likely to reach a higher level than alarm level 2.
On the Cong River at the Nui Coc Lake measuring station, the flood water level is likely to reach a level 0.4 - 0.7m higher than the normal water level.
