According to functional agencies, functional forces rescued 26 people from Thuy Duong hotel when the fire occurred. The incident killed 2 people.
The incident occurred at 5:09 am on September 7, the PC07 Department Command Information Center received a fire report at Thuy Duong Hotel located on Tan Ky Tan Quy street, Tan Son Nhi ward, Ho Chi Minh City.


Immediately after that, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 13 and the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 14 were dispatched to the scene. The total force and vehicles participating included 7 fire trucks of all kinds and 48 officers and soldiers.
By 5:17 am on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.
Thuy Duong Hotel has 19 rooms, including 16 rooms for rent and 3 rooms for families. The project includes 1 ground floor, 1 mezzanine, 4 floors and a terrace.

The fire killed 2 people. Functional forces rescued 26 people. Among these, 7 people were taken for health checks and all were stable, no one was injured.
To approach trapped people, professional firefighters deployed reconnaissance teams from many directions such as stairs, escape routes, balconies, roofs and used ladder trucks. Task forces quickly identified the fire area, smoke density and location of trapped people to organize rescue.
The burned area is about 12m2 out of a total area of 503m2. Functional forces also protected about 491m2 and supported the rescue of many assets and motorbikes of neighboring houses.
The cause of the fire is being jointly investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
PC07 recommends that establishments providing accommodation services and hotels regularly check their electrical systems, equip fire prevention and fighting equipment, maintain grassroots fire prevention and fighting forces and organize fire fighting, rescue and salvage drills.
