As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on July 28, the TBM tunnel excavator No. 1 named "Than Phai" officially entered the S11 - Van Mieu underground station, marking an important technical milestone in the construction of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro tunnel section.
The No. 1 TBM started from S9 - Kim Ma station, drilled a tunnel with a total length of about 2,028m to S11 - Van Mieu station, equivalent to completing the installation of a total of 1,350 tunnel lining rings. Thus, currently, TBM No. 1 is about 600m from the end station ( choice station S12).
Regarding the progress of the No. 2 TBM, information from the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) said that the No. 2 TBM named "Bold" has now drilled about 899m, equivalent to 599 tunnel lining rings installed.
According to MRB, after the drilling at S12 Station - Hanoi Railway Station is completed, the drilling head of the TBMs will be dismantled at this station, the remaining auxiliary equipment system will be pulled back and continued to be dismantled at S9 Station - Kim Ma.
As of July 24, 2025, the overall construction progress of the CP03 package - Tunnels and underground stations reached 62.74%.
The underground slope has been completed 80.97%, Station S9 - Kim Ma has been completed 50.53%, the Steep well is completed 26.07%, the tunnel has reached 65.10%, stations S10, S11, S12 (including lane change and garage) have been completed 69.23%, 58.16%, 65.53%, respectively.
Mr. MRB said that construction activities are currently taking place at all construction sites. Accordingly, at S10 - Cat Linh station, the Southern auxiliary structure is being implemented, the construction of digging the soil for the Northern auxiliary works, and the construction of the main station box brick wall.
S11 Station - Van Mieu Station has completed pouring concrete for the bottom part, completed the underground movement to serve the Jet Grouting work at both ends of the station, completed the Jet grouting work at the entrance and exit of the TBM, and is implementing the construction of the auxiliary project to the South of S11 Station.
Station S12 - Hanoi Station has completed the pouring of concrete for the swing and the transit floor, and is carrying out the pouring of concrete for the section of the bottom (concrete pouring for section 3/13 has been completed).
The lane change road and garage have completed the construction of the top version in area I.2, completed the restoration of the structure and the road; completed the installation of the steel reinforcement of the garage transfer version in area I 1.1).
Currently implementing the construction of the surrounding wall in area II (14/26 surrounding walls have been completed, from Yet Kieu intersection to Tran Hung Dao - Quan Su intersection).
The downstream slope area is under construction of the box tunnel structure, the Standing well area is currently under construction.
