The Inter-regional Road project connecting Ho Chi Minh Road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C from Phu Tho province to Yen Bai province - with a total adjusted investment of VND 2,120 billion, invested by the Department of Construction of Phu Tho province (formerly the Department of Transport). To date, more than 53 km of the main inter-regional road has been handed over and put into use.
In October 2024, "package No. 32: Construction of branch lines" of the project has completed the selection of contractors, Traffic Construction Corporation 8 - JSC is the winning bidder (more than 96 billion VND) and is currently constructing a branch line connecting from the main route (at Km23+910) to Cam Khe Industrial Park (Cam Khe District).
According to Lao Dong, "package No. 60: Construction of extended roads" of the project is currently in the process of selecting a contractor. This package is priced at nearly 99 billion VND, to build a long route from the starting point of the main route (at Km0) to National Highway 32 (at km76+150), the construction site in Tam Nong district.
The recently announced bid opening results show that Tu Lap Construction Company Limited (located in Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province) is the only contractor participating in the above construction package. In the coming time, if Tu Lap Construction Company Limited is approved to win the bid, it will construct a road longer than 3.7 km in a maximum period of 240 days.
According to the project documents, the route is designed according to the scale of a grade III plain road, with a design speed of 80 km/h. The starting point continues with the main route at Km0 intersecting with National Highway 32 at Km81+380 (road to Thanh Son district), the end point intersects with National Highway 32 at Km76+150 (near Tam Nong District Medical Center, only about 400 m from Phong Chau bridge).
The extended road will have a roadbed width of 12 m. Of which, the road surface is 7 m wide, the reinforced edge is 4 m wide, the ground edge is 1 m wide. The structure of the road surface is made of high-altitude A1 asphalt concrete on the foundation layer with crushed stone.

Earlier, November 2023, at the third thematic meeting, the People's Council of Phu Tho Province, XIX, passed the decision to adjust the investment policy of inter -regional projects, including additional contents of investment in construction of the route extending from the beginning of the main route (at Km0) to Highway 32 (at Km76+150).
Therefore, the total investment of the project after adjustment is 2,120 billion VND (added with 105 billion VND); the capital structure is also adjusted, including: The central budget medium-term capital for the period 2021 - 2025 is 1,700 billion VND, the remaining 420 billion VND from the provincial budget and other legally mobilized capital sources.
