On the morning of January 5, the rain appeared at the peak time, causing traffic on many streets in Thuc Phan and Nung Tri Cao wards (Cao Bang province) to fall into serious congestion. The number of vehicles increased sharply, while many schools, agencies, and offices simultaneously went into working hours, causing traffic difficulties.
According to records, in the Bang Giang bridge area and some central streets, the flow of motorbikes and cars is extended, moving slowly. “In recent days, the Bang Giang bridge area has been frequently congested during peak hours, everyone is tired,” Ms. Nguyen Thanh Binh (Thuc Phan ward) shared.

The reason is said to be due to the characteristics of many central roads in Cao Bang with small, narrow cross-sections. When it rains, people tend to switch from motorbikes to personal cars and taxis, causing high traffic volume, leading to congestion.
Although functional forces have organized traffic diversion and planted one-way road signs on many streets to ensure traffic safety, the situation of cars parking and encroaching on the roadway is still common.
On routes such as Hoang Van Thu, Ly Tu Trong, Vuon Cam (Thuc Phan ward), many households park their cars in front of their houses day and night, even covered with tarpaulins like spontaneous parking lots, making the already narrow road even more cramped.
On some small road sections, cars parked occupy almost the entire traffic section, causing serious congestion during rush hours in the morning and afternoon.

This situation not only poses a potential risk of traffic accidents but also affects urban aesthetics, causing public outrage. On many streets that already have no-parking signs, such as Vuon Cam street, the situation of arbitrary parking still occurs despite being reminded by functional forces.
Not only in the inner city area, but recently, on national highways passing through Cao Bang province, traffic accidents have also continuously occurred due to bad weather.
In the early morning of January 4, on National Highway 34, the section passing through Ca Thanh commune, a tractor-trailer carrying dozens of tons of cassava slipped, got muddy and overturned onto the underside of the road.
At about 5 am, the vehicle completely overturned, causing a large amount of cassava to spill around, and the vehicle was heavily damaged. Previously, on National Highway 3, many accidents also occurred due to rain, making the pass road slippery.

Faced with complicated traffic developments, on January 5, the Traffic Police Department of Cao Bang Provincial Police issued a recommendation to ensure traffic safety in unfavorable weather conditions.
Accordingly, the province is experiencing drizzle, thick fog, slippery roads, limited visibility, especially dangerous on mountain passes and slopes.
The traffic police force recommends that vehicle drivers should proactively reduce speed, maintain a safe distance; pay attention to observation, do not overtake vehicles when visibility is limited; travel in the correct lane and lane according to regulations.
When the vehicle encounters an incident, it is necessary to quickly put the vehicle in a safe position, turn on the warning signal and place the warning object in accordance with regulations.
The Traffic Police Department of Cao Bang Provincial Police requests traffic participants to raise awareness, strictly comply with legal regulations on traffic order and safety, contributing to protecting the safety of life and property of themselves and the community.
