Large hydropower reservoirs in the North are operating below normal water levels, the amount of water flowing to Son La and Hoa Binh reservoirs is quite high.

According to updated data at 4:45 PM on August 29, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 109.7 m, water inflow to the reservoir 750 m3/s, no discharge.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 291.57 m, the water flow to the lake and the total discharge amount are at 1,563 m3/s, all through the plant.

Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 471.34 m, water flowing to the lake 234 m3/s, total discharge volume 50 m3/s. Huoi Quang Lake is at 368.6 m, water flowing to the lake 128 m3/s, total discharge volume 179 m3/s.

Son La Lake recorded a water level of 205.11 m, water inflow to the lake 2,855 m3/s, total discharge volume 819 m3/s. Meanwhile, Hoa Binh Lake has a water level of 104.61 m, water inflow to the lake 2,396 m3/s, total discharge volume 349 m3/s.

At Thac Ba Lake, the upstream water level reached 54.39 m, the water inflow to the lake was 330 m3/s, and the total discharge was 147.62 m3/s.
