According to updated data at 10:00 AM on July 23, the water level of Tuyen Quang reservoir reached 105.9 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level. The reservoir has a water flow of 1,049 m3/s and discharges 714.67 m3/s through the plant.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau lake has a water level of 286.43 m, Ban Chat lake 469.81 m, Huoi Quang lake 369.9 m, Son La lake 198.37 m and Hoa Binh lake 102.42 m.
Notably, Hoa Binh Lake has a water inflow of 3,879 m3/s, with a total discharge volume of 4,373 m3/s, of which discharge through the spillway is 1,515 m3/s and through the plant is 2,858 m3/s. Son La Lake has a water inflow of 2,690 m3/s, with a total discharge volume of 3,223 m3/s.
In the North Central region, the water level of Trung Son lake is 149.29 m; Drawing 173.24 m; Khe Bo 64.5 m and Quang Tri 459.24 m. The total discharge volume is 122 m³/s, 0 m³/s, 95.5 m³/s and 19 m³/s respectively.
In the South Central region, A Vuong lake has a water level of 352.28 m; Song Bung 2 is 576.98 m; Vinh Son A 767.19 m; Song Bung 4 is 209.43 m; Vinh Son B 817.66 m; Vinh Son C is 972.01 m and Song Tranh 2 is 151.48 m.
Song Ba Ha Lake has a water level of 102.78 m, a water inflow of 20 m3/s and a total discharge of 120 m3/s. Song Hinh Lake has a water level of 201.29 m, a total discharge of 15.22 m3/s.
In the Central Highlands, Upper Kon Tum Lake has a water level of 1,143.05 m; Pleikrong 545.34 m; Ialy 500.92 m; Se San 3 is 304.12 m; Se San 3A is 238.9 m; Se San 4 is 211.71 m.
Some lakes that are releasing water include Ialy with a total discharge of 426 m³/s, Se San 3 with a discharge of 460 m³/s, Se San 3A with a discharge of 289 m³/s, Pleikrong with a discharge of 60 m³/s and Kanak with a discharge of 38 m³/s.
An Khe Lake has a water level of 428.14 m, total discharge volume of 37.48 m3/s, of which discharge through the spillway is 4 m3/s and through the plant is 33.48 m3/s. Buon Kuop Lake has a water level of 409.61 m, total discharge volume of 14.91 m3/s, all through the spillway.
In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has a water level of 51.27 m, a water inflow of 310 m3/s and a total discharge volume of 554 m3/s. Thac Mo Lake has a water level of 200.94 m, a water inflow of 27.02 m3/s and does not discharge water.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting on July 23, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain in some places. Rain is concentrated at night and in the morning. From tomorrow evening July 23, rain tends to increase.
The area from Nghe An to Da Nang and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
