Hydropower reservoirs across the country continue to maintain below normal water levels, many reservoirs are generating electricity and not discharging overflows.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 11:30 am on April 25, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake was at 110.98m, lower than the normal water level by more than 9m. The water flow to the lake reached 50 m3/s, while the total power generation flow was 259.91 m3/s.

The Northwest region recorded many large lakes maintaining water levels below the design threshold.

Lai Chau Lake is at 290.96m; Son La reaches 206.95m with a power generation flow rate of 102 m3/s. Hoa Binh Lake is at 109.84m, lower than the normal water level by more than 7m; water inflow to the lake is 336 m3/s and power generation is 1,399 m3/s.

Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Thac Ba reservoirs have small inflows to the reservoirs and have not yet discharged.

In the North Central region, Trung Son, Khe Bo and Ban Ve reservoirs operate electricity generation with a flow rate of several tens to nearly 100 m3/s; the water level continues to be lower than the normal water level.

In the South Central region, most lakes have low to moderate water flow. Some power generating lakes with notable discharges include Song Bung 4 (47.6 m³/s), Song Ba Ha (120 m³/s), Song Hinh (45.67 m³/s).

Vinh Son A, B, C and Song Tranh 2 lakes have small lake discharges.

The Central Highlands region records a number of lakes with good flow and electricity generation, such as Se San 3 (215 m³/s), Se San 3A (219 m³/s), Se San 4 (188 m³/s).

Some lakes discharge through spillways with small flows such as Buon Kuop (15.27 m³/s) and An Khe (8 m³/s).

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir reached a water level of 58.49m, lower than the normal water level by more than 3.5m; inflow to the reservoir 140 m3/s and power generation 474 m3/s.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 25, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny skies in the afternoon.

The area from Nghe An to Quang Ngai has showers and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
