According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:00 PM on March 17, in the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake reached 294.48m, close to the normal water level (295m), no discharge occurred.
Son La Lake is at 214.56m, close to the normal water level (215m), water flow to the lake is 646 m3/s, total discharge is 496 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake reached 114.82m, lower than the normal water level (117m), currently discharging 495 m3/s through the plant.
Huoi Quang and Ban Chat reservoirs maintain high water levels, reaching 368.79m and 441.64m respectively, mainly operating for power generation.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir reached 114.71m, lower than the normal water level (120m), inflow to the reservoir 85 m3/s, total discharge 121.65 m3/s.
Notably, Thac Ba reservoir is at 55m, lower than the normal water level (58m) but discharges up to 293.4 m3/s, much higher than the water flow to the reservoir.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 17th, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny skies in the afternoon. Cold at night and early morning.
