Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on March 12, in the Northwest region, large reservoirs on the Da River system maintained high water levels.
Son La Lake has an upstream water level of 214.94 m, close to the normal water level of 215 m, water inflow to the lake is about 998 m3/s, total discharge is 379 m3/s through the plant.
Hoa Binh Lake recorded a water level of 113.97 m, 117 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake is about 983 m3/s, the total discharge through the plant is 421 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Lai Chau reservoir has a water level of 294.67 m, water inflow to the reservoir 291 m3/s, total discharge volume 186 m3/s.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake has a water level of 369.43 m, inflow to the lake 270 m3/s, total discharge volume 264 m3/s. Ban Chat Lake recorded a water level of 445.08 m, total discharge through the plant 254 m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 114.49 m, water inflow to the reservoir 50 m3/s, total discharge volume 121.95 m3/s through the plant.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 158.85 m, with a total discharge volume of 76 m3/s; Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 64.26 m, with a total discharge through the plant of 95.5 m3/s.
Some reservoirs in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands are also operating for power generation with small discharge flows such as A Vuong (27.8 m3/s), Song Bung 4 (45 m3/s), Song Hinh (19.03 m3/s) or Pleiku (13 m3/s).
In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has a water level of 61.7 m, close to the normal water level of 62 m. Water flow to the lake is 160 m3/s, total discharge through the plant is 214 m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 12th, the Northern region will have light rain in some places at night, foggy in some places in the early morning, sunny skies in the afternoon. Cold at night and in the morning.
The Central Central region has rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, locally with moderate to heavy rain.
