According to updated data on August 1st, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake has an upstream water level of 106.97 m, lower than the normal water level by 13.03 m.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 898 m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 1,228.45 m3/s, including 505 m3/s through the spillway and 723.45 m3/s through the plant. The reservoir currently maintains 1 deep discharge gate.
In the Northwest region, Hoa Binh reservoir has a water level of 100.33 m, 16.67 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 3,837 m3/s, the highest among hydropower reservoirs nationwide at the time of update. Total discharge through the plant reached 2,948 m3/s, not discharged through the spillway.
Son La Lake reached a water level of 197.89 m, 17.11 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 2,698 m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 3,254 m3/s, all through the plant.
Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 288.85 m, 6.15 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake and the total discharge flow are at 1,548 m3/s, serving power generation.
Two upstream terraced lakes, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang, continue to operate stably. Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 470.74 m, a water inflow of 222 m3/s, and a discharge of 242 m3/s.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake reached 368.70 m, only 0.7 m higher than the dead water level, water inflow 313 m3/s, discharge 342 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba reservoir maintains a water level of 52.72 m, a water inflow rate of 462 m3/s and a total discharge rate of 448.95 m3/s, all through the plant.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting on August 1st, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places at night, showers and thunderstorms in some places during the day.
