Northern hydropower reservoirs maintain below normal water levels, while water flow to Son La, Hoa Binh and Lai Chau reservoirs continues to be high.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on June 24, Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir was operating stably with the upstream water level reaching 100.27 m, 16.73 m lower than the normal water level of 117 m.

The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,892 m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant was 2,376 m3/s. The reservoir did not discharge through the spillway and did not open deep or surface discharge gates.

On the Da River system, Son La Lake has a water level of 196.89 m, water inflow to the lake reaches 1,939 m3/s and total discharge volume is 2,872 m3/s, the highest in the area. Lai Chau Lake recorded a water level of 288.07 m, water inflow to the lake is 633 m3/s, total discharge volume is 1,351 m3/s.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 99.33 m, water inflow to the reservoir reaches 224 m3/s and total discharge is 713.8 m3/s. Thac Ba reservoir maintains a water level of 48.63 m, water inflow to the reservoir is 80 m3/s, total discharge is 376.47 m3/s.

Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs continue to accumulate water, without generating discharge flow. In general, large hydropower reservoirs in the Northern region are maintaining water levels below the normal level, ensuring power generation requirements and regulating water sources in the rainy season.
