According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 4:00 PM on June 21, in the North, Son La Lake had a water inflow to the lake reaching 1,180 m3/s, currently discharging electricity 880 m3/s, the lake water level was at an elevation of 196.41m, 18.59m lower than the normal water level.
Lai Chau Lake reached a water level of 287.82m, inflow to the lake 638 m3/s and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 1,356 m3/s. Hoa Binh Lake at an altitude of 99.85m, inflow to the lake reached 663 m3/s, discharge through the plant 171 m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 99.83m, nearly 10m higher than the dead water level, the inflow to the reservoir reaches 563 m3/s and has not been discharged.
In the North Central region, Trung Son, Ban Ve and Quang Tri reservoirs do not discharge water. Meanwhile, Khe Bo reservoir is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 218.8 m3/s, much higher than the water flow to the reservoir at 74.5 m3/s.
In the South Central Coast, most reservoirs maintain water levels lower than normal water levels from a few meters to dozens of meters. A Vuong Lake has a water level of 359.19m, nearly 21m lower than normal water levels; Song Tranh 2 reservoir reaches 157.37m; Song Ba Ha reservoir reaches 102.67m. The reservoirs mainly operate electricity generation with small discharge flow or no discharge.
The Central Highlands region recorded some lakes with water levels approaching normal water levels such as Se San 3 (303.51/304.5m), Se San 3A (238.9/239m), Dong Nai 4 (474.92/476m) and Da Mi (323.97/325m). Buon Kuop Lake is opening 1 deep discharge gate with a discharge flow through the spillway of 15.46 m3/s. An Khe Lake opens 1 surface discharge gate, discharging through the spillway 4 m3/s.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 53.76m, the water inflow to the reservoir reaches 250 m3/s and is generating electricity with a discharge rate of 865 m3/s. The reservoir water level is still 8.24m lower than the normal water level.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 21, the midland and delta areas of the Northern region, from Hue to Da Nang and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest common temperature of 35-37 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri has intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature in some places above 39 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region will be sunny during the day, with showers and scattered thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening.
