According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:00 AM on March 25, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake reached 115.02m, about 5m lower than the normal water level (120m).
The water flow to the reservoir reached 126 m3/s, total discharge volume 120.61 m3/s, all through the plant, no overflow discharge occurred.
In the Northwest region, large hydropower reservoirs record high water levels and quite abundant inflows to reservoirs.
Lai Chau Lake reached 293.47m, approaching the normal water level (295m), inflow to the lake 195 m3/s, total discharge up to 706 m3/s.
Son La Lake reached 214.05m, close to the normal elevation threshold (215m), with a water inflow of 372 m3/s, total discharge of 583 m3/s.
Similarly, Hoa Binh reservoir is at 115.8m, only about 1.2m lower than the normal water level (117m); inflow to the reservoir reached 476 m3/s, total discharge 469 m3/s.
Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs also maintained high water levels. In which, Huoi Quang reached 368.42m, close to the normal level (370m), inflow to the reservoir 248 m3/s.
Ban Chat Lake is at 436.27m, lower than the normal water level (475m), but still ensures water storage for power generation.
Notably, Thac Ba reservoir reached 54.07m, nearly 4m lower than the normal water level (58m), but still maintained a large total discharge volume of 461.11 m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 24th, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny skies in the afternoon. Especially the Northwest region has hot sun in some places with the highest temperature above 34 degrees C.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny during the day, especially the East has hot sunny places.
