According to updated data from the reservoir management and operation monitoring system at 16:00 on July 30, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 107.64m, 12.36m lower than the normal water level (120m). The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,063m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 1,226.54m3/s, including 512m3/s through the spillway and 714.54m3/s through the plant. The reservoir is opening 1 deep discharge gate.
In the Northwest region, Hoa Binh reservoir has a water level of 100.24m, 16.76m lower than the normal water level (117m). Water flow to the reservoir reached 3,910m3/s, total discharge flow 4,393m3/s, of which 1,470m3/s through the spillway and 2,923m3/s through the plant. The reservoir is opening 1 deep discharge gate.
Son La Lake recorded a water level of 198.2m, 16.8m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reached 3,386m3/s, total discharge flow of 3,237m3/s, all through power generation.
Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 288.32m, the inflow and total discharge flow are at 1,534m3/s, not discharged through the spillway dam.
Two reservoirs on the Nam Mu river cascade, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang, continue to maintain water levels close to normal water levels. In which, Ban Chat reservoir reached 470.73m, water inflow 289m3/s, total discharge flow 240m3/s. Huoi Quang reservoir reached 368.73m, only about 0.73m higher than the dead water level, water inflow 298m3/s, total discharge flow 214m3/s. Both reservoirs do not discharge through spillways.
Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 52.57m, 5.43m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 472m3/s, the total discharge flow was 439.2m3/s, all through the power plant.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting on July 30, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
The Central Highlands region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the afternoon and night there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
The Southern region has rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
