According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on June 4, Hoa Binh Hydropower Reservoir had an upstream water level of 99.87m, 17.13m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir only reached 40m3/s, while the total amount of water discharged through the plant reached 1,960m3/s.
On the Da River system, Son La reservoir recorded a water level of 194.6m, 20.4m lower than the normal water level; Lai Chau reservoir reached 289.69m, 5.31m lower.
Ban Chat Lake is at 442.71m, 32.29m lower than the design threshold.
Notably, Huoi Quang Lake has a water level of 368.46m, only about 0.46m higher than the dead water level.
Meanwhile, Tuyen Quang reservoir reached 98.7m, 21.3m lower than the normal water level and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 784.53m3/s.
At Thac Ba Lake, the water level reached 49.93m, 8.07m lower than the normal water level. The plant is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 289.6m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 4, the Northern region will have hot sunny days, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature above 37 degrees Celsius; from the evening to the afternoon, there will be rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and eastern Quang Ngai province has hot and intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 39 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region in the afternoon and night has showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
