According to updated data at 1:30 PM on July 6, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 108.52m, lower than the normal water level by 11.48m. The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,061m3/s, the total discharge flow was 1,223.78m3/s, of which 521m3/s was generated and 702.78m3/s was discharged through the discharge gates.
In the Da River basin, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 285.15m, nearly 10m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 1,272m3/s, the total discharge flow was 1,541m3/s, all through power generation.
Ban Chat Lake recorded a water level of 455.57m, water inflow reached 1,458m3/s, total discharge flow 176m3/s through power generation.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake has a water level of 368.92m, which is only less than 1m higher than the dead water level and about 1.08m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the lake reached 311m3/s, with a total discharge flow of 272m3/s.
The two largest hydropower reservoirs on the Da River system continue to receive large amounts of water. Son La Lake has a water inflow rate of 3,731m3/s, total discharge rate of 3,175m3/s through power generation; the upstream water level is at 194.18m, lower than the normal water level of 20.82m.
Meanwhile, Hoa Binh reservoir has a water inflow of 3,633m3/s, total discharge flow of 2,876m3/s through power generation. The upstream water level reached 102.52m, 14.48m lower than the normal water level.
For Thac Ba Lake, the upstream water level is at 51.44m, the water inflow to the lake reaches 406m3/s. At the time of update, the lake had not yet discharged water.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 6, the Northwest region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. The Northeast region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in the late afternoon and evening, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
