According to information from the Tuyen Quang Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, the water level of the Lo River in Minh Xuan and Nong Tien wards; the Gam River in Na Hang commune is at level 2 and level 3 warning level (very dangerous level).
In some inner-city wards, the water level of the Lo River is being measured at 18.01 m, 10 m lower than the flood peak in 2024; the Gam River in Na Hang is 57 m.
Currently, Tuyen Quang hydroelectric reservoir is releasing 7 consecutive floodgates combined with continuous increase in rainfall, the water level of the rivers is likely to continue to rise with an amplitude of 2 - 5m.
It is forecasted that Bac Me will peak at level 3 and then decrease slowly; Chiem Hoa will peak at level 3 from 3-4m (BD3: 38.5m), Na Hang will peak at level 3 from 1-2m (BD3: 57.0m). The change depends on the discharge flow of Tuyen Quang hydropower plant.
The water level of the Lo River in inner-city wards is likely to rise from 3.0 - 5.0 m; on the Lo Gam River, the strong flow causes flooding in low-lying areas along the river with a common flooding depth of 3.0 - 5.0 m.
In the communes of Yen Son, Nhu Khe, and My Lam ward, flooding occurred with a common flooding depth of 1 - 3m, in some places over 4m.
The flood situation is still very complicated, causing flooding in low-lying areas and the risk of landslides.
