According to information from the Hanoi People's Committee, tomorrow morning (March 20), the city will organize the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Ring Road 2.5 Construction Investment Project for the sections: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe New Urban Area; Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung; Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai.
The groundbreaking ceremony is held at the starting point of the project - Dich Vong New Urban Area, Cau Giay ward, Hanoi city.
Previously, on January 4, 2026, Hanoi City People's Committee issued an Urgent Construction Order for the Ring Road 2.5 Construction Investment Project sections: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe New Urban Area; Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung; Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai.
Construction purpose: Investing in construction to handle bottlenecks and traffic congestion issues; completing the transportation network, promoting investment attraction, contributing to creating a new face for the city along the route in particular and the whole city in general, contributing to the socio-economic development of the Capital in the modernization of the country.
Section 1: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area, about 0.71km long, 50m cross-section in Cau Giay ward, Yen Hoa ward (starting point at Dich Vong new urban area; ending point on Duong Dinh Nghe street).
Section 2: Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung, about 0.6km long, cross-section 40m in Yen Hoa ward (starting point at the Mac Thai Tong - Vu Pham Ham intersection; ending point at the Tran Duy Hung - Hoang Dao Thuy intersection).
Section 3: Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai, about 0.95km long, 40m cross-section in Thanh Xuan ward (starting point at the intersection of Hoang Dao Thuy - Nguy Nhu Kon Tum streets; ending point at Nguyen Trai street).
The Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (the investor) said that the project includes 4 component projects, including 3 component projects for site clearance (GPMB); 1 component project 2 (construction investment).
Component project 1.1 in Cau Giay ward (Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area section). The total area to be recovered is about 30,520m2.
By the end of February 2026, 359/359 graves had been relocated, reaching 100%; 24,656m2/30,520m2 of site clearance had been recovered, reaching 81%.
Component project 1. 2 in Yen Hoa ward: The total area to be recovered is about 30,614m2. The project has been approved in decision No. 129/QD-UBND dated February 5, 2026.
83/83 graves have been relocated, reaching 100%; 366/366 land recovery plans have been issued; survey and inventory of 168/366 plans have been completed; dossiers confirming the origin of land for 82/366 plans are being completed.
Component project 1. 3 in Thanh Xuan ward. The total area to be recovered is about 39,053.9m2, with about 5,000 people residing within the project area.
As of the end of February, 475/475 plans have been issued; 431/475 plans have been investigated, inventoried and confirmed the origin of land; 14/475 plans have been approved; 98/475 plans are being drafted; 10,000m2/39,053m2 has been recovered, reaching 25.6%.
According to the plan, 3 sections of Ring Road 2.5 will be completed in 2026.
