
Accordingly, in the face of heavy damage caused by floods, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has agreed on a plan to allocate a total of VND500 billion from the central budget and local budget to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
Of which, 300 billion VND from the central budget will be used for 4 key areas:
- 112 billion VND to support the repair of traffic safety on routes and the repair of suspension bridges.
- 100 billion VND to support agricultural production, overcome natural disaster prevention and control works, and clean water for rural areas.
- 38 billion VND in emergency support to repair health centers and stations, purchase drugs, equipment and working tools.
- 50 billion VND to support the repair and construction of new school facilities and purchase of teaching equipment.

Nghe An province also decided to allocate an additional 200 billion VND from increased revenue and spending savings to focus on repairing traffic infrastructure, prioritizing main routes such as National Highway 7A, National Highway 16 and some provincial roads that are seriously damaged.
Previously, the Provincial People's Committee also issued a decision to allocate 205 billion VND from the 2025 budget reserve to localities, based on the level of damage and implementation capacity. In particular, the 3 most affected communes, My Ly, Nhon Mai and Tuong Duong, each commune was supported with 20 billion VND.
In addition, Nghe An province has also allocated 112 billion VND from the Provincial Fund for the Poor and Relief through the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to promptly support localities and people affected by floods.
