On September 4, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee informed about the socio-economic situation in August and key tasks for September 2025. Accordingly, agricultural - forestry - fishery production continues to be stable with a total aquatic product output of 29,002 tons, concentrated planted forest area of nearly 1,000 hectares. Industry recorded a development index of 19.54% over the same period; many products such as construction stone, cement, beer, electricity production... grew strongly.
Trade and service activities are vibrant with total retail sales of goods and service revenue reaching VND14,191.6 billion, up more than 18%. The number of tourists is estimated at 760,000, bringing in nearly VND913 billion in revenue. In August, the province established 292 new enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 11,932 billion, an increase of 68.7%.
Regarding public investment, as of August 28, the whole province has disbursed more than VND 4,286 billion, reaching 42.37% of the plan. In addition to economic development, Nghe An focuses on overcoming the consequences of storms No. 3 and No. 5, supporting people to soon stabilize their lives and restore production.
In September 2025, the Provincial People's Committee identified many key tasks, including promoting the disbursement of public investment capital, ensuring social security, taking care of the opening of the new school year and preparing to celebrate the 995th anniversary of Nghe An's title.
