Thai Nguyen - Total budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2025 reached over VND13,000 billion, exceeding the assigned estimate.

On July 30, the 14th Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council opened the 3rd Session to consider and decide on a number of important contents under its authority related to the management and implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the area.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dang Binh - Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council said that in the first 6 months of 2025, Thai Nguyen province still maintained stable development, achieved many positive results, economic growth rate reached 6.61%.

Total budget revenue in the area reached over 13,000 billion VND. The results of public investment disbursement are high, the payment of the 2025 capital plan reaches 79.0% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister.

Also in the first 6 months of 2025, Thai Nguyen attracted more than VND 12,100 billion in domestic investment capital with 35 projects granted investment policy decisions and over 122 million USD in FDI capital. The number of newly established and returning to operation enterprises increased sharply.

In the area merged from the old Bac Kan province, the number of newly established enterprises in the first 6 months of 2025 increased by 30% over the same period, with a total registered capital of nearly 2,000 billion VND. The number of non-budgetary investment projects increased by 3.4 times, the total capital increased by 9.3 times compared to the same period last year.

In 2025, Thai Nguyen province sets a target of economic growth rate of 8.5%, GRDP per capita of 116.5 million VND/person/year. State budget revenue in the province (local plan assigned) reached VND 24,735 billion.
