    From July 1, pensions and social insurance allowances will be adjusted to increase. In addition, subjects currently receiving monthly death benefits will also be adjusted.

    According to the new circular of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Circular No. 12/2026/TT-BNV) detailing the adjustment of pensions, social insurance allowances and monthly allowances from July 1, 2026.

    Accordingly, from July 1, 2026, the pension level, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance of the subjects specified in Clause 1, Article 2 of this Circular will be adjusted to increase by 8% on the pension level, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance of June 2026.

    From July 1, 2026, the pension level, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance of the subjects specified in Clause 2, Article 2 of this Circular are adjusted as follows:

    For people with pensions, social insurance allowances, monthly allowances after adjusting according to the provisions of Clause 1 of this Article equal to or lower than 3,500,000 VND/month, they are adjusted to increase by 300,000 VND/month:

    For people with pensions, social insurance allowances, monthly allowances after adjusting according to the provisions of Clause 1 of this Article higher than 3,500,000 VND/month but lower than 3,800,000 VND/month, they are adjusted to increase to 3,800,000 VND/month:

    Subjects who are receiving monthly survivor's allowance, service allowance according to the provisions of the law on social insurance before July 1, 2026, the level of monthly survivor's allowance from July 1, 2026 is calculated according to the basic salary level specified in Decree No. 161/2026/ND-CP stipulating the basic salary level and bonus regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces.

    The Circular assigns Vietnam Social Security to be responsible for implementing this Circular and preparing a report according to the form specified in the Appendix attached to this Circular, reporting to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Finance before December 31, 2026.
