These days, in coastal villages in Ha Tinh, fishermen have gone to sea to catch seafood to earn income after the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
Most near-shore fishing vessels usually go out to sea for one to two days and then dock to sell seafood.
Offshore fishing yields not much, but because seafood prices are quite high at the beginning of the year, it also brings encouraging income to fishermen.

Fisherman Le Doan Vuong (resident of Yen Diem village, Loc Ha commune, Ha Tinh province) said that in Loc Ha coastal village, many fishermen have gone to sea since the 6th day of Tet. Among them, many ships and boats caught sea crabs. In addition to catching crabs, fishermen also caught herring, doucfish, goby fish, and tiger prawns.
Currently, the price of sea crabs is quite high, fluctuating from 300,000 VND - 600,000 VND/kg; many types of fish are priced from 300,000 VND - 350,000 VND/kg, depending on the type.

Also according to fisherman Le Doan Vuong, because of near-shore fishing, local fishermen take advantage of favorable weather, regularly going to sea after each trip to dock and sell seafood.
In the new year, we wish for favorable weather, abundant fish and shrimp in the sea to catch large quantities, bring high income, and ensure a good life," Mr. Vuong shared.
