On July 7, a leader of the People's Committee of Yang Mao commune, Dak Lak province, said that the unit had received a report from people in Yang Hanh village about the heavy truck carrying construction materials for the construction of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway destroying the Dong Truong Son road.
After receiving feedback from the people, the People's Committee of Yang Mao commune sent people to the scene to confirm the information.
By noon of the same day, some contractors had poured rocks to fix it. However, people's travel is still very difficult, especially for motorbikes.
Mr. T (a taxi driver in Krong Bong commune, Dak Lak province) said that on the morning of July 6, he took a bus to Dong Truong Son road.
However, when they arrived at Yang Hanh village, Yang Mao commune, they could not move anymore. The reason is that the road is muddy, people are pouring pebbles, and large wooden logs block the road.
"I asked some people and learned that heavy trucks often passed by, causing serious damage to this road. People asked the construction enterprise of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway to pour rocks, but did not receive any response.
Therefore, people poured boulders and large wooden logs across the road to block it, said Mr. T.
A resident living near the above road section said that every day, dozens of heavy-duty vehicles carrying soil and rock to serve the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway pass through this place.
Therefore, the road was already damaged, and now it is even more damaged. People are struggling to block the road to prevent trucks from passing.
According to the leader of Yang Mao Commune People's Committee, the Commune People's Committee will send a document to the Project Management Board, the Ministry of Construction requested contractors to find solutions to make it easier for people to travel.
"This morning, after receiving feedback from the people, I went to check by pickup truck. When arriving at Yang Hanh commune, the pickup truck also hit the ground, causing damage.
We recommend that contractors comply with regulations. In case of damage to residential roads, there needs to be a solution," said the leader of Yang Mao Commune People's Committee.
A representative of Project Management Board 6 (Ministry of Construction) said: "In recent days, due to continuous heavy rain, the above road has deteriorated.
We have requested contractors transporting construction materials to take measures to handle and repair the damage to the road. Thereby, helping people in the area travel more conveniently".
