According to the reflection of people in Thuong Ninh and Nhu Xuan communes, Thanh Hoa province, in the past, they had to live in misery because the construction road was unfinished, muddy, with potholes and potholes all over the road.
Many people said that the above route is a project to build a traffic road from Yen Cat inner city to the old Cat Van commune, now the route from Nhu Xuan commune to Thuong Ninh commune. The route is about 10 km long, and was deployed nearly 2 years ago.
"At first, we thought the road would be constructed quickly to make it less difficult for people to travel. However, it is less difficult to see, now I just feel more miserable" - Ms. Le Thi Thuy (born in 1959, residing in Cat Loi village, Thuong Ninh commune) shared.
According to Ms. Thuy, the entire road is degraded, but the area in front of her house is the heaviest, with mud tens of cm thick, making it extremely difficult for people and vehicles to travel, even frequent falls.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Truc (residing in Thuong Ninh commune) said that every day, he has to travel on this route many times and every time he is "afraid", just negligent that he can fall at any time. "My biggest concern is when I pick up the children. Adults are helpful, but children fall and feel sorry for them, said Mr. Truc.
According to many people, the road has been unfinished for a long time, muddy when it rains, and dusty when it is sunny, making them upset and "call for help". However, this situation has not been resolved yet.
The actual records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on this route show that many sections of the road are damaged, with potholes, buffalo holes, deep ditches... many other sections are surrounded by mud, making traffic difficult.
According to the representative of the People's Committee of Nhu Xuan commune, the project to build the above route has a total investment of 90 billion VND, of which the provincial budget supports 81 billion VND, the remaining 9 billion VND is the local counterpart capital for compensation and site clearance.
The project was previously invested by the Nhu Xuan District Investment and Construction Project Management Board, now assigned to the People's Committee of Nhu Xuan commune. The construction units include IDI Joint Stock Company and Thanh Hoa Traffic Construction Company 1.
"In response to the current situation and reflection of the people, at the end of October, the commune held a meeting with relevant parties and issued a document requesting the contractors to complete the entire volume by mid-February 2026" - a representative of the People's Committee of Nhu Xuan commune informed.
