Having lived in a "flooded area" for more than 13 years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh (born in 1974, residential cluster on Me Suot Street, Lien Chieu District) had to take a day off from selling to stay home to clean up her belongings this morning.

According to Ms. Anh, no one dared to sleep all night in the residential area here because the water rose very quickly and overflowed into the house. Ms. Anh and the surrounding households had to run around and find every way to move their important belongings up high.
After more than 13 years living here, Ms. Anh clearly remembers every trace of rising floodwaters, historic flood flights, years of water flooding into her house, flooding the ancestral altar, the whole family gathering on a buoy to look at all the belongings submerged in water.
"Last night was flooded so much that people here had to rush to move expensive items such as motorbikes and electronics elsewhere. This morning, when the water receded completely, I stopped selling for a day and took the opportunity to stay home to clean up" - Ms. Anh said.

Last night, when the water rose, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen (born in 1991, residential group on Me Suot Street) also mobilized all members to stay up all night to transport personal belongings to the narrow attic. Her electronic furniture, refrigerators, and washing machines are also positioned high to avoid damage.

According to Lao Dong, in the early morning of June 12, prolonged heavy rain caused a residential area on Me Suot Street (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang) to be flooded. The authorities had to help people raise their belongings, move people and property out of the flooded area, when the deepest part was at the level of a person's belly.

Not only flooding on Me Suot Street, according to the Smart City Monitoring and Operation Center (IOC), at 00:00 on June 12, through monitoring the automatic flood report tower, 9 flooded locations were detected.
Of which, Kiet 161 Me Suot, Group 37 (Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District) was flooded 65cm deep. The most flooded area is Kiet 08 Tran Xuan Le Street with 79cm deep water.
