The incident occurred at around 5:00 p.m. on October 20, inside the 1,500-bed Hospital, Chanh Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Initial information shows that at that time, the workers were working in the manhole inside the 1,500-bed Hospital project. At this time, suddenly the soil above had collapsed and poured into a deep hole.
Sand and dirt were buried on a worker named B.V.Q (born in 1974, from Dong Nai). His colleagues later tried to dig up, but due to the large amount of soil, they could not bring the victim up and had to ask for help from those around him.

An excavator was dispatched to the scene, but due to the small space below, the excavator was ineffective. About 2 m deep under the hole, the victim's face was purple and he showed signs of difficulty breathing.
Two ambulances were also present at the scene. It took about 30 minutes later for the people to dig up all the rocks and soil and rescue the man on the ground.
Rescuers tried to breathe and support the victim, however, Mr. B.V.Q died.

According to records, the incident occurred inside the 1,500-bed Hospital. This is the largest hospital project in the Binh Duong area to date. The project started construction in 2014, but was delayed and has not been completed yet. Currently, the units are speeding up the progress to complete the project.
