End the ferry fraud
On December 18, many people in Vinh Long expressed their delight at the news that Dinh Khao Bridge will officially start construction on December 19, marking an important step forward in traffic development, promising to improve living and trade around the area.
For many years, Dinh Khao ferry terminal has been often congested, causing difficulties in traveling and transporting goods. This situation not only affects daily life but also hinders business activities around the area.
Having regularly delivered packaged noodles twice a day, Mr. Nguyen Duy Thien - a local driver - was stuck in ferries many times, arriving late, causing customers to complain. Mr. Thien shared that the newly completed bridge will help make travel more convenient and safer for everyone.

Mr. Thien also expressed his hope that the completion of Dinh Khao Bridge soon will shorten travel time, create favorable conditions for people's trade and living, and help businesses around the area become more stable.
Not only Mr. Thien, many local people also expressed their joy and hope. Ms. Bui Thi Ut, a ornamental plant trader near the bridge construction area, shared her joy when the project started and hoped the bridge would attract visitors and develop business.
In addition, Ms. Ut hopes that the new bridge will improve general traffic, shorten travel time, make the community's living, studying and trading more convenient, and improve people's lives.
Expected to be put into operation in 2028
Mr. Phan Chi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Traffic Project Management Board - said that the Dinh Khao bridge project has a total investment of more than VND 2,852 billion, implemented under the PPP form. The project is more than 4 km long and is invested by the Vinh Long Traffic Project Management Board.
The main bridge over the Co Chien River is designed with 4 lanes, with a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The starting point intersects with Provincial Road 902 in Nhon Phu commune, adjacent to the National Highway 57 bypass, the end point connects directly with National Highway 57, ensuring smooth connection.
Currently, National Highway 57 is about 103 km long, an axis connecting Vinh Long with neighboring provinces. However, Dinh Khao ferry terminal became a traffic jam, causing congestion and delays for people and freight vehicles.

" Dinh Khao Bridge is expected to overcome this situation, shortening travel time between Vinh Long and other provinces in the region. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2028, bringing practical benefits to the community," Mr. Cuong added.
People hope that the bridge will not only shorten travel time but also promote convenient trade, living and learning, contributing to local socio-economic development, improving community life.
