On the morning of October 27, local people and police promptly discovered and assisted a lottery ticket seller who was swept away by water into the river.
From the evening of October 26, prolonged heavy rain combined with water from upstream caused many areas in Ham Thanh commune to be flooded.

On the morning of October 27, the water level continued to rise and flowed strongly in some locations. Some roads in Dan Cuong village, near the Linh river were flooded.
A woman selling lottery tickets was driving a motorbike through a flooded road and was swept away by the water, both she and her motorbike.
People and police promptly discovered, pulled this person back and brought him safely to shore.
The motorbike was also salvaged afterwards, however, all the stacks of lottery tickets she brought were wet. Many people around joined hands to help her dry lottery tickets.
