On the morning of December 4, many areas in Ho Chi Minh City had widespread thunderstorms. The rain occurred during work hours, causing some roads to be congested.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, satellite cloud images, weather radar images and lightning positioning show that the thunderstorm area is developing and causing rain with thunderstorms and lightning in all wards/communes of Vung Tau, Tam Thang, Rach Dua, Phuoc Hai, Phuoc Thang, Long Hai, Long Dien, Ben Cat, Minh Thanh... and the sea areas of Ho Chi Minh City. The sea of clouds will move from East to West.
In the period from now until the next 2 hours, thunderstorms will continue to develop, causing showers and thunderstorms in all of the above areas, then thunderstorms tend to expand to Thoi Hoa, Thu Duc, Linh Xuan, Long Binh, Tang Nhon Phu, Phuoc Long, Long Phuoc, Tan Hung, Tan Thuan, Phu Thuan, Nha Be wards...
Rainfall is generally from 15-45 mm, in some places over 50 mm. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning, hail, strong gusts of wind of level 5-8 (8-21 m/s) that break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure, endanger human life, heavy rain causing local flooding in low-lying areas.
The continental cold high pressure continues to strengthen to the South. In addition, the cloud circulation from storm No. 15 that has just dissipated still creates high-altitude easterly wind disturbances, affecting the weather in the Southern region. Therefore, the eastern region such as Lam Dong and Dong Nai will have heavy rain and more in the western provinces.
