Thai Nguyen - For Mr. Le Chinh, the years of standing in the ranks of the Party were both an honor and a responsibility associated with a steadfast oath.

Located deep in a small alley in residential group 35, Phan Dinh Phung ward, the simple house number 87 is the residence of journalist Le Chinh - the first Editor-in-Chief of Thai Nguyen Newspaper.

Journalist Le Chinh, real name Nguyen Dinh Thong (born 1926 in Ha Tay, now belonging to Hanoi). Early enlightened with revolutionary ideals, he participated in the Viet Minh movement from 1945 and was admitted to the Party at the age of 21.

Mr. Chinh said that he was admitted to the Party in March 1947, officially in September 1947.

After many years of working in the Security Forces, in 1957 he was assigned to be in charge of Thai Nguyen Radio Station, then Editor-in-Chief of Thai Nguyen Newspaper.

Throughout his journalism career, from when he was a reporter to when he took on the leadership position, Mr. Le Chinh always maintained his political bravery and the spirit of responsibility of a party member.

In Mr. Chinh's memory, material deprivation has never weakened the sense of responsibility of a writer.

What always worries the veteran journalist is to fully and truthfully reflect the labor, production and combat life of the army and people of Thai Nguyen during the resistance war.

For Mr. Chinh, revolutionary journalism must first serve the political task, contributing to encouraging the fighting spirit and consolidating the people's belief in the victory of the revolution.

On May 19, 2026, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee Trinh Xuan Truong, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, awarded the 80-year Party Badge to Mr. Le Chinh.

In that award ceremony, Mr. Le Chinh was honored to be one of the first party members to receive the 80-year Party Badge awarded by the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee signing and issuing a decision according to new regulations.

For Mr. Chinh, the milestone of 80 years of Party membership is a special journey, marking the years of living, contributing and growing up in the ranks of the Party.

Therefore, the badge is not only a recognition, but also evokes many memories of a past time and years of attachment to his homeland and country.

After retiring from work, Mr. Chinh returned to his locality and held the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoang Van ward (old).

Currently turning 100, his health is declining day by day, but the enthusiasm of a Party member in him has never diminished.

Despite his old age, he still follows every change in his homeland and country, maintaining the full faith and responsibility of a party member.

Mentioning Party member Le Chinh, Mr. Le Van Son - Secretary of the Party cell, Head of Residential Group 35 (Phan Dinh Phung ward) could not hide his pride.

Comrade Le Chinh is an exemplary and loyal party member. He was awarded the 80-year Party Badge 1 year earlier due to poor health.

After quitting journalism, Mr. Chinh continued to contribute to the locality. When his health declined, he returned to rest, but continued to participate in supporting movements.

Also according to Mr. Le Van Son, Party member Le Chinh once donated land to expand the road in the residential group. Many of his children are also party members, contributing to their homeland and country. He is the pride of the residential group, a role model for future generations to learn and follow.
