Contractor uses bamboo to block electric wires to construct Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway

On July 12, the Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project Management Board (representative of the investor) announced the implementation of component project 3.

The announcement also clearly states the shortcomings and problems in the investment project to build the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway phase 1.

According to the report from the project investor's representative, at the meeting on March 17, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long pointed out that the construction progress at components 1 and 3 of the project has not met requirements, while the remaining workload is very large.

Specifically, the section through Dak Lak province still has 10 hectares of land that need site clearance and a location of a high-voltage power line that has not been handled.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to quickly hand over the site, and at the same time direct the acceleration of the relocation of technical infrastructure works. The Deputy Prime Minister requested the completion and handover of the entire site before March 31.

However, up to now, the residential power line running through the construction site has not been relocated, causing difficulties for construction.

At the construction site, contractors have to use bamboo to support the line to ensure the movement of vehicles.

According to a representative of Dak Lak Power Company, the project to relocate the power system at the expressway project was previously prepared by the Project Management Board of the old Krong Pac district.

However, during the process of submitting the funding application, the power line behind the people's meters was not included in the estimate.

The electricity industry has continued to support the locality in developing a new plan and submitting to the competent authority additional funding estimates to relocate the people's power line in the coming time.

This delay is believed to be due to a mistake by the Project Management Board of the old Krong Pac district. Next week, the leaders of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee will conduct a field inspection of the project to provide timely instructions.
