Trillion-dong park for buffalo grazing
Phung Khoang Lake Park Project, with a total area of 11.9 hectares, is located in Thanh Xuan District and Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi). The project started in 2016 and was expected to be completed in 2017, but to date it is still surrounded by corrugated iron. On November 20, 2024, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh - Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee requested relevant units to put the park into operation before Tet 2025.
The project of Cultural - Entertainment and Sports Park in Ha Dong District, Hanoi City, was approved by the People's Committee of Ha Tay Province (old) in 1998 for planning in Ha Cau and Kien Hung wards with an area of over 90 hectares, but after 25 years, the project has not been implemented.
In 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 5628/QD-UBND approving the detailed planning project of Ha Dong Cultural - Entertainment and Sports Park, scale 1/500 with a total investment of over 1,251 billion VND, expected to be implemented from 2024-2027.
According to the design, the amusement park project includes 33 areas such as maze garden, three-color flower garden, amusement square, landscape hill, children's house, nature museum... expected to become the highlight of Ha Dong district, creating a space for cultural and sports activities to improve the living environment of the people.
On the afternoon of December 17, 2024, it was noted that at the land planned as the Ha Dong District Cultural - Entertainment and Sports Park Project, the outside door was always locked, but inside there were about 5 soccer fields and 1 golf course in operation. Inside the project, there was a mess of construction waste from previous tenants moving to return the site to the project.
According to Mr. Tran Van Xuan (residing at Kien Hung auction area), the park has been abandoned for many years, some people have taken advantage of the vacant land to grow vegetables and raise cattle, causing the air here to become polluted. The stench from grazing cattle is blown by the wind straight into the residential area.
People and localities expect the early implementation of "hanging" parks.
The planning was approved by the Department of Planning and Architecture and the People's Committee of Thanh Tri district from August 20, 2009, and the detailed planning 1/500 of the memorial area for teacher and celebrity Chu Van An was also officially announced.
According to the plan, Chu Van An Park was supposed to be completed in the first quarter of 2020. But currently, Chu Van An Park in Thanh Liet Commune, Thanh Tri District, Hanoi is still just a large, messy lawn, a place to gather waste wood, scrap and is a place to learn to drive cars, motorbikes...
According to the original plan, the project has a total area of 90 hectares. On April 20, 2016, the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture and the People's Committee of Thanh Tri district announced the partial adjustment of the detailed planning of the Chu Van An Memorial Area (scale 1/500), located in the administrative boundary of Thanh Liet commune, with a total area of about 55 hectares.
Mr. Tran Van An (Thanh Liet commune) said that the land is left unused, with reeds growing taller than a person's head. It is a pity that he and his wife spent so much effort clearing the grass and leveling the land to grow vegetables. When the government implements the project, it will be returned.
Regarding the Chu Van An park project, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Trinh Quoc Thang - Chairman of Thanh Liet Commune People's Committee - said that the park area has been reclaimed, compensated and cleared for many years now. However, due to lack of funding, it cannot be further implemented. The commune has also made many recommendations to Thanh Tri District People's Committee to report to Hanoi City for a plan to develop the local socio-economy.
Mr. Duong The Vinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Cau Ward, Ha Dong District - said that the Ha Dong District Cultural - Entertainment and Sports Park Project is invested by the Project Management Board. The locality always hopes that the project will be implemented soon so that people have a place for cultural and sports activities.
1,600 billion VND park project, still "on paper" after more than 10 years
The project of the Park and Lake Regulation in the Southwest Hanoi Urban Area was approved in 2013, but until now it is still an empty land, the land is often dug up every year for unknown purposes (especially at the end of the year), causing waste of resources and infrastructure. This park and lake regulation project is located in the Nam Trung Yen Urban Area, adjacent to Mac Thai Tong and Nguyen Chanh streets in Yen Hoa ward, Cau Giay district.
