In December 2024, Khanh Hoa Provincial Inspectorate concluded the inspection on the management and use of funding sources at the Department of Science and Technology (KHCN).

This topic is chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
In September 2022, Khanh Hoa province recognized the results and requested the Department of Science and Technology to hand over the project results to units in the province for application, and at the same time report on the implementation of the application of the project results into practice every 6 months and annually.
However, up to now, the above units have not reported on the implementation of applying the results of the project into practice (only the Propaganda Department and the Provincial Political School have reported).
Similar to the topic "Investigation, assessment, determination of causes and proposal of solutions to stabilize estuaries and coastal waters of Khanh Hoa province" implemented by the South Central Region Hydrometeorological Station with a budget of 1.3 billion VND (2020-2022).
This topic was recognized by Khanh Hoa province in 2023, but up to now, except for the Department of Transport, many departments and branches have not reported on the implementation of applying the topic's results into practice.
There is also the topic "Application of intravascular ultrasound technique in intervention of complex coronary artery lesions" chaired by Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital (2019-2022, budget of nearly 1 billion VND).
This topic was also recognized for results from 2022, but the Department of Health has not yet reported the results of the application of the topic into practice.
The Department of Health has not yet reported the results of practical application of the project "Building and evaluating the effectiveness of the antibiotic management and use model at some provincial general hospitals under the Department of Health (2019-2021, budget of 535 million VND).
The scientific topic of the medical industry is lacking.
The inspector concluded that there were two remaining scientific topics with shortcomings in the construction of the budget estimate for direct labor wages.
These are the topic "Assessing the current status of diphtheria antitoxin antibodies in the population aged 5-40 in Khanh Hoa" led by Nha Trang Pasteur Institute (9.2021-3.2023, budget of 926 million VND) and the topic Building and evaluating the effectiveness of the antibiotic management and use model at some provincial general hospitals under the Khanh Hoa Department of Health.
However, the inspector found that the construction of this direct labor cost estimate by the Department of Science and Technology and the project manager was to ensure funding for collecting information and accurate samples...
At the same time, considering the actual results of the topic, it has contributed to providing policies and solutions for the Khanh Hoa health sector...
Therefore, the Provincial Inspectorate requests the Department of Science and Technology to synthesize, propose, and advise the Provincial People's Committee on documents guiding the implementation of the construction of cost estimates for investigation, survey, and information collection in accordance with science and technology topics.
