Many prolonged projects in Lang Son are "counted down" in progress

Lang Son - Many urban and resettlement projects that have been backlogged for many years have been set deadlines for site clearance and completion of procedures.

According to the latest review results of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, 81 out of a total of 104 projects facing difficulties and obstacles have been handled, reaching nearly 78%.

Among the remaining projects, 14 projects continue to be specially monitored due to slow site clearance, land procedures, planning or investor capacity.

Two urban areas in the Southeast and East of Dong Mo town, now belonging to Chi Lang commune, must complete site clearance before November 30.

Previously, the task at the Eastern Urban Area was not completed according to the milestone of mid-August.

In Ky Lua ward, Phu Loc I and II urban areas are required to completely handle the remaining land area in the third quarter. Phu Loc III urban area must complete the task in the fourth quarter. For Phu Loc IV urban area, the investor has not completed the dossier to adjust the investment policy, planning and wastewater treatment system.

Some projects in Dong Kinh ward have also been re-determined in progress. The access road to the extended Ly Thai To street resettlement area must hand over the entire site in October, complete construction in November, accept and put into use in December.

The resettlement sub-area of block 2, Vinh Trai ward, has its completion deadline adjusted to January 2027. Local authorities must handle cases where land has not been handed over, complete the remaining items and finalize the project.

In Loc Binh commune, three projects including Loc Binh Bridge No. 1, traffic road and Luc Thon commune resettlement area; Huu Khanh commune resettlement area and rural residential area continue to be entangled in site clearance, legal documents and BT contract payment plan.

Regarding the Cho Xu Lang project, the Provincial Inspectorate is assigned to inspect the implementation of land procedures, management and use of the land area, and report the results in October.

In addition to the above 14 projects, the province removed 15 projects from the monitoring list because they had completed removal or identified procedures and handling responsibilities. Among these are Na Chiem stone mine, Bac Son bus station, Dat Phat MDF sheet factory, Duc Tam II residential area, expanded campus of Luong Van Tri monument and 1202D motor vehicle registration center.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Canh Toan requested units to shift from reviewing and reporting to handling specific tasks, clearly defining deadlines and responsibilities. Projects that are no longer implementable or investors who lack capacity and do not seriously implement them will be considered for termination and recovery to avoid land waste.
