Focus on constructing Phuoc Khanh bridge, determined to complete it before September 25th.
At the Phuoc Khanh bridge construction site, the item across the Long Tau River connecting Binh Khanh commune (HCMC) with Dai Phuoc commune (Dong Nai city) belonging to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway project is being accelerated to complete the entire project in September.

Specifically, workers directly staying at the construction site during the holidays will be supported with an income level equivalent to three times their normal daily salary. Solving the policy well helps workers feel secure in working, focusing on completing the balcony and bridge deck parts early.
Currently, the Phuoc Khanh bridge project has completed more than 90% of the main structure and has connected both banks of the Long Tau River. Mr. Hoang Dang Hau, Deputy Commander of the Phuoc Khanh bridge construction site, informed that the entire project is currently mobilizing about 200 technical staff and workers divided into many construction teams simultaneously. The goal is to complete the installation of railings right during the September 2nd holiday, and then focus forces on asphalting the main bridge deck.
The project is expected to complete 100% of the work around September 25. With a total length of more than 3.1km, a scale of 4 lanes and a navigation clearance of 55m (the highest in Vietnam), Phuoc Khanh bridge is a key link to close the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway. When put into operation, the project will shorten travel time from the Mekong Delta provinces through Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai and Long Thanh International Airport.
Urgent handover of site for National Highway 1 upgrade and expansion project
In parallel with the construction fronts on Phuoc Khanh bridge, site clearance for the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1 (section through Le Kha Phieu street, Ho Chi Minh City) is also being urgently implemented before the September 2nd holiday to keep up with the groundbreaking schedule. To date, the project has recorded the consensus of 739 out of a total of 828 affected households, and has disbursed compensation with a total budget of more than 3,600 billion VND.
On Le Kha Phieu street, many households in the clearance area are busy cleaning up and dismantling their houses to promptly hand over the land on time. Typically, Mr. Lam Kim Hiep's household, a household that was completely cleared, is currently actively relocating assets. Although inevitably worried about his daily life and livelihood in his old age after relocation and wishing to be arranged for resettlement in Tan Nhat commune to be closer to his hometown, Mr. Hiep still agreed to hand over the land early.

Ms. Phan Thi Bao Chau, Director of the Investment and Construction Project Management Board of Binh Chanh commune, said that the locality has simplified administrative procedures, resolved house repair dossiers in 3 days and issued construction permits in 5 working days, and at the same time allowed people to submit dossiers directly on the spot. The commune also coordinates to reduce technical measurement and drawing costs and arrange vehicles to support free demolition of works for people in need.
The consensus of the people and the efforts of units to accelerate construction during the September 2nd holiday are of great significance to infrastructure in the Southern region. When these key projects are completed, traffic bottlenecks at the gateway to Ho Chi Minh City will be completely resolved, unlocking the economy and creating a driving force for regional linkage.
