The National Highway 28B Renovation and Upgrade Project, the section passing through Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces, has a total length of about 69 km, of which the section passing through Binh Thuan is about 51 km long. The total cost is more than 1,400 billion VND.
The investor is the Vietnam Road Administration and the project management unit is Project Management Board 5.
Since April 2024, this project has been started. The contractor has arranged many construction teams at the locations where the site has been allocated.
In the spirit of Resolution 60, the three provinces of Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Dak Nong will be merged into one province, expected to be named Lam Dong province with the administrative - political center of the new province in Da Lat city. Therefore, this is a project that attracts the attention of people, especially civil servants and public employees.
According to records, in Song Binh commune, Bac Binh district, both sides of the road are fenced with ropes to construct the roadbed expansion site.
Recently, the People's Committee of Bac Binh district has directed to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles so that the contractor has a clean construction site.
During the process of counting land and assets, the land users identified that there were 538 individual households and 16 organizations in the project area with a total area of 51.3 hectares through Luong Son town, Song Luy, Song Binh, Phan Lam and Phan Son communes.
Up to this point, localities have mobilized 250 households to hand over the land.
As one of the 5 localities in the project area, Luong Son town has established a mobilization committee to each household with land in the project area to grasp the situation and encourage people to approve the handover of the site.
Mr. Vo Hien Ton (residing in Bac Son quarter, Luong Son town) said that he clearly saw the benefits of the project for the socio-economic development of the locality, so he agreed to hand over the site for project construction, compensation level according to state regulations. Mr. Ton's family has signed a commitment and agreed to hand over the site soon so that the project can be implemented on schedule.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Quoc Han (residing in Luong Tay quarter, Luong Son town) has 500 m2 of land in this project and has agreed to hand over the site. Compensation price approved according to state regulations.
Currently, the People's Committee of Bac Binh district is carrying out a peak period of propaganda and mobilization of households subject to land acquisition to hand over the site for the construction of upgrading and expanding National Highway 28B.
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B through Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces, especially Dai Ninh Pass, is currently of great significance in connecting the region, meeting the transportation needs on the East - West corridor, connecting the Central Highlands region to the South Central provinces. This is also the shortest route to connect Binh Thuan and Lam Dong.
