As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at noon on December 4, a woman left her motorbike on Chuong Duong Bridge and jumped into the Red River.
Regarding the incident, the leader of Hong Ha Ward People's Committee said that at around 1:10 p.m. on December 4, the authorities received a report of someone committing suicide by jumping off a bridge. Two rescue canoes were dispatched to the scene to search.
At 1-21 p.m., the rescue team approached the victim, took him to the canoe and checked his health. At the time of discovery, the victim's pulse was very weak, so the authorities immediately gave first aid and took him to port 46 Chuong Duong Do, and at the same time notified the 115 Emergency Center.
However, after about 15 minutes of first aid, the pulse did not return. When medical staff arrived to check, the victim was confirmed dead. Through verification, the victim was Ms. L.L.Th. (born in 1986, residing in Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi).
The authorities then handed over the case file to the Bo De Ward Police for handling according to regulations.
On the morning of December 5, speaking with reporters, a leader of Bo De Ward Police said that after completing the legal procedures, the unit had handed over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements according to regulations.
